[Oct 30] Pumpkin Carving With the Prigmores

Thanks to Trader Joes, we got a pumpkin last night. 2 days before Halloween. We're the worst. In just 48 hours Choobie and his pumpkin have become great friends. He talks to "pumpkin" and pats him and says goodnight to him. I was a little worried about how he would react to carving "pumpkin" but it turned out great.
First Choobie helped Dad draw a line for the lid.
Then Choobie helped Dad cut out the lid.

He was REALLY grossed out by the contents of "pumpkin".
Choobie wanted a dinosaur on his pumpkin. No matter how much we tried to convince him that "pumpkin needs a face", Choobie still demanded a dinosaur. So, Dad drew a Brontosaurus on "pumpkin".

Here's what "pumpkin" looked like all lit up.
Our best purchase this Halloween was the battery powered flickering lights. They look just like real candles but won't start a fire or burn your kid.
Happy Halloween!

That is a sweet bronto...Go Dan! And don't think you're bad, we didn't even buy a pumpkin this year, we're just using the one she got on her "pumpkin patch field trip". :)

You act like not getting a pumpkin until 2 days before halloween is such a terrible thing! We got a "baby" one that it too small to carve and I really don't think Nathan would let us carve one anyway. He likes to cuddle with it and kiss it. That dino looks pretty good and I bet Luke loves it!

I think pumpkins carved with dinosaurs are the coolest. =) Dan did a great job with that! And, FYI, we never got a big pumpkin (you wanna talk about boring parents...come to our house). Yesterday at Publix I picked up to of the tiny pumpkins. I will let Alton draw whatever he wants on it, that is if we get around to it. If nothing else, he loved to carry it around the house. It's the beauty of this age, you aren't expected to go all out!

Those videos you posted of Choob with the pumpkins were so funny! I just love his voice!!! And, I especially loved when he kept saying that it was yucky. Too cute!
