A New Love Affair Begins

"Bippies!!!"

She cannot possibly live without them.

Lots of them.

Like 4 in each hand in addition to the one in her mouth.

She loops them on her fingers like jewelry.

In bed she strokes her face with them and presses them onto her closed eyelids.

Oh the drama with this one.

Ultra Love.

[Aug 4] Three Ameegs

After "Grunion 3"graduation we met up with some friends and swam some more!

Choobie was in the pool nearly the entire evening (thanks Ashley!)

It was so fun for us to put these three little girls together and hope they will be great friends someday.  Aren't they beauts?!!

Julie put Tano's hair in her first ponytail!  Side pone Find it!

I was amazed because she HATES people to touch her hair and/or face.  That's what months of physical therapy will do to a kid.  But Julie just whipped that pony up like it was nothing.  Looks like I have a lot to learn in the "dressing of the girl" department.

Trying to undo the side pone was a hair ripping battle.  I ended up cutting the rubber band out of her hair, along with a few hair pieces.  I guess she'll learn sooner or later that beauty equals pain.

It was a blast to catch up with some of my oldest and dearest friends and just swim and eat like we used to back in high school.   Hope to see you girls again soon :)

[April 24] Matchers

Well this year was no different.

Matchers.  Love it!

And yes that is the same sweater vest he wore at age two.  It still fits!

[April 24] Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny came!

He left a candy trail to Choobie's bucket hidden in the hall closet.  The Choob thought it was the coolest thing to follow the candy trail.  He got so excited when he found his bucket that he kissed the piece of candy that led him to it.
Next step: Fill his bucket with the THIRTY FOUR eggs the Easter Bunny hid.  This kid loves a good egg hunt!

Can you see the excitement?  He hasn't even been sugared up yet.  Wow.
The Easter Bunny gave Tano her first sippy cup.  Such a big girl!

Not quite sure how to use it just yet

She thought her toes were more intersting.
Choobie got a rocket and a squirt gun.
And Waaay too much candy

[April 23] Tano Eats Mush!

Her first day trying Mush (rice cereal) started off great.  She had no problem wearing a bib for the first time and definitely loved holding her own spoon:
Both of them were excited

Hungry Girl

A Happy Hungry Girl
As soon as she tasted the first bite, things took a turn for the worse:

You want me to eat THIS?

This stuff is gross momma!

No More Momma!
All Done.  We'll try again next week.

[April 21] Two Firsts in One Day!

This not so little 17 lb. Tano Kitty doesn't roll over.  Either way.  Like doesn't roll at all.

Front to Back........  No.
Back to Front........  Heck No.

On the bright side, she does a killer Sea Cucumber impression:
Slug  Find it....Found
We have been practicing and teaching and helping and coaxing her to roll over for the last month.  One time I walked into the kitchen and heard Dan say, "Come on Tonns, use your thunder thighs!  They're your best hope!" as he was practicing her PT exercises with her.

She's in this position ALL THE TIME because of her Tortise:
Leading one to think she'd roll over by accident and then just learn how after a few times.

Wrong.

Instead she just collapses, screeches and flails her arms till someone assists her like this:
But that all changed today.

At 5.75 months old she rolled over for the first time.....BOTH WAYS!

Unexpected and out of the blue and amazing this little kitty figured it out.

She's been rollin ever since.

Way to kill two birds with one stone Tonners.

We are so proud of you!  Videos for the grandparents to follow.
