[July 1] The BIG picture

We took Choob to his FIRST EVER movie in the theatre. This was a huge day for us because we love to go see movies and hoped that our child would feel the same way. We decided to see WALL-E. Big mistake. We did make it through about 45 minutes of the movie despite the fact that the robots didn't talk. Good Job Pixar. I am surprised Luke was into it for that long. It may have had something to do with the bag full of goodies we brought from home.

Needless to say, he went crazy for the star wars poster in the lobby. He ran up to it and started fighting it with BOTH his "big saber" and "tiny saber". It was awesome. Here's us snackin' on some whoppers and popcorn. Check out his little booster seat. Too Cute!
Side note, the wierd hat wearing phase arrived in July. It's a Steve Irwin hat that he wouldn't take off for about a week. Now he refuses to wear it, or any other hat for that matter. Things are back to normal.

I took Nathan to a movie the other day. They have a few theaters here that show free kids movies in the mornings during the summer since it's too hot outside to do anything else. Nathan only lasted about 30 min and then he was all over the place. It was good though, cause it didn't matter- all the kids were all over the place and no one cared. I don't think we'll be paying to see a movie with him for at least another year.

Oh he's so cute! His Star Wars obsession is hilarious...you were right to name him Luke :)

And I agree, Wall-E is totally not a little kids movie. Ashley liked it but it's probably more for school-age children.

What a cutie! I know I say that in every comment, but it's just so darn true! Good for you for at least trying the whole movie scene. I don't even dare with my kids. I know what the outcome would be....lots of wasted money!

I've heard Wall-E is really good.

Sounds like you should have made it a movie buffet and gone to see Clone Wars right after!

He is getting so big! Glad to see you guys are raising the next generation of starwars fans...Reedy Boy would be so proud. He's 7 and obsessed with all things starwars! These two would have much to talk about despite the age induced language barrier.

He's a little Dan! He must be proud. Yeah...I took the boys to Shrek 3 this summer. Within 2.2 minutes, they were both screaming. Apparently the ogre is scarier on the big screen. I couldn't get out of there fast enough and actually had to tell someone blocking the exit to "move it or lose it sista."
